About Swachhata-MoHUA

Report civic issues directly to your city corporation with the official urban cleanliness app from India's Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs. Swachhata-MoHUA empowers citizens to document and track sanitation problems in real time, ensuring faster resolution and accountability from municipal authorities.

How it works: Photograph any cleanliness or public facility issue—garbage dumps, uncollected waste, unmaintained dustbins, blocked public toilets, or water and electricity failures in public restrooms. The app automatically captures your location while you take the photo. Simply add a landmark description, select the relevant category, and submit. Your complaint goes directly to the sanitary inspector and engineer responsible for your ward.

Stay engaged throughout the resolution process. Vote on other complaints relevant to your area to show community support and prioritize issues affecting multiple residents. Receive real-time push notifications tracking your complaint's status, including before-and-after photos uploaded by the assigned official once resolved. If you're unsatisfied with the outcome, reopen the complaint to escalate further.

Complete control over your submissions: changed your mind about a complaint? Edit or delete it instantly. Upload photos from your gallery instead of taking new ones, then pinpoint the exact location within the app. Engineers and municipal staff can now log in directly to access, manage, and respond to complaints through the same platform, streamlining communication between citizens and city authorities.

This isn't just a reporting tool—it's your direct line to cleaner, better-maintained public spaces. By documenting issues with photos and location data, you create an accountable record that city corporations must address. Whether it's overflowing garbage, delayed waste collection, or sanitation infrastructure problems, Swachhata-MoHUA transforms citizen complaints into actionable municipal work orders.
